Who is Viorica Dăncilă?
She is the first female Prime Minister in Romania.
Viorica Dăncilă started her career working for the Romanian oil & gas company OMV Petrom SA.
She became a member of the European Parliament in 2009 where she was part of the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats and on top of others, Member of the Committee Women’s Rights and Gender Equality.
On January 17th, she has been named as Prime Minister-designate in Romania. Her appointment still has to be approved by parliament.
