quote by irina maria peterson on superwomen of monaco : “In the middle of the Pacific, we found an incredible amount of microplastic in the phytoplankton, so the source of life, the food of the fish. Plankton is the most important thing in the ocean”

We talked about awareness about ocean pollution, her trip of a life time in the Pacific Ocean, how did she prepare, what her days looked like on the sail boat with an only women crew, the sampling they did and how they witness the micro plastic even in such a remote place in the ocean. This voyage is not really finished because she’s still working on putting together a professional documentary raising awareness about ocean pollution. It is a bridge between the past with the activity of Jacques Yves Cousteau that has been fascinating her since she’s a little girl, the now and the future generation.
